LMP Education works to develop learners and organisations through comprehensive training programmes. One of such learners is Laura, a 37-year-old School Business Professional from Djanogly Learning Trust – Kensington Junior Academy. Here is her story:
“I chose this apprenticeship to further my career and to challenge myself to see if I could return to learning at the age of 37.
The main benefits are being able to earn while you learn, apply new knowledge directly to your role, and gain valuable experience alongside a recognised qualification.
I am most proud of successfully completing the programme while working full time and being a mum of two, proving to myself that I could achieve it at my age.
The best thing about my role is playing an integral part in a school and helping to enhance the education of children through the work I do.
I have been supported by my employer and my LMP tutor, Kayleigh, who has been amazing—always there when I need help and breaking tasks into manageable chunks. My employer has been supportive too ensuring I get the off the job hours that I need as they recognise how much the course is improving my knowledge and confidence in my current role.
The most important skill I have learnt is time management, as it has enabled me to balance my work, studies, and family life effectively.
My next step is to continue learning and progress to degree-level study, as this apprenticeship has shown me that I am capable of achieving it.”
Good luck in your future learning Laura!
