Ethan Welding – Digital Marketer Apprentice at USP Steels
National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2023
Ethan Welding is 18 and on a Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship with USP Steels, a steel stockholder and supplier based in Kingswinford. His line manager is Rebecca Richards and she speaks very highly of Ethan’s skills and determination, stating that he is a ‘fantastic asset to USP Steels.’
Here is Ethan’s apprenticeship journey so far;
“I chose to undertake this apprenticeship because it allows me to further develop my technical skills whilst also gaining experience within the workplace. I work five days a week which is very beneficial to my learning experience.
This role allows me to use my creativity to its fullest extent, whether I’m coming up with fresh new ideas or improving on past ones. I’ve learnt skills for life such as how to prioritise tasks and think critically.
Being able to ‘learn whilst on the job’ is the main benefit of an apprenticeship programme for me, it allows me to not only further my knowledge, but also allows me to gain experience within the workplace. The team at USP Steels are very supportive and ensure that I can access further help if I need it.
My LMP tutor is very helpful and has taught me to use the Smart Assessor platform which further aids my learning.
I am very happy with my role at USP Steels and hope to continue marketing for them in the future.”
