A budding talent in the finance sector is Ismail Shaikh who started his Level 3 Assistant Account apprenticeship with LMP last year and has been working in WWL UK LTD. Here is his story:
“I decided to take on this apprenticeship as it aligns with my career goals and aspirations. I preferred an apprenticeship path as it allows me to work and learn at the same time.
The biggest benefit of doing apprenticeship programme is that I can gain my qualification while working and earning. The best thing about my role is interacting with the business stakeholders.
I am most proud of the progress I have made so far. I have completed 2 exams and have 2 more, I will have achieved the Level 3 within the next 5 months.
My employer WWL UK has been nothing but kind and helpful, as this was my first job it was a little nerve racking, but the support and guidance received has allowed me to settle in and its only got better. My LMP tutor Isola has also been extremely helpful on my journey.
The most important skills I’ve developed are communication skills and team working skills. This has helped me recuperate funds for the business.
After completing my apprenticeship, I hope to progress onto a Level 4 and then become a chartered accountant.”
