Amy Atkins is a 32-year-old Teaching Assistant Apprentice completing her apprenticeship with Inspire ATA, hosted by Alexander McLeod Primary School. Her interest in teaching began when her children began attending school and Amy decided she wanted to do something for herself:

“It’s great working at the school because it means I can still be there to drop my children off and pick them up from school. I was 19 when I had my first child and have never had the opportunity to do anything for myself. Now my children are older, I can focus on myself more; the apprenticeship has given me back my individuality.”

Many of our apprentices working within the education industry find their role in the development of children to be incredibly rewarding:

“My favourite thing about my role is seeing the pride the children have in their work and knowing you have helped them achieve their goals.”

We strive to create a highly supportive experience for all apprentices working with Inspire ATA. We are there for you throughout your journey, ensuring that you feel supported and can reach your potential:

“The school are good at supporting me. There’s always someone there to help me when I need it. Inspire ATA are amazing. I sometimes lack confidence and they’re always there to give me a boost when I need it. Whenever I send a message or an email, I get a response almost immediately.”
