TIEVA is an award-winning business that is invested in apprenticeships, learning and development to grow and build its teams.  As it’s National Apprenticeship Week, there is no better time to celebrate the positive impact of apprenticeships on career development at TIEVA.

Rachel Broadhead, Talent Acquisition Manager explains more about their apprenticeship strategy and why apprenticeships matter. ‘Apprenticeships offer many benefits to our business, contributing to both short-term and long-term success. Apprenticeships provide a structured framework for individuals to acquire the specific skills and knowledge required for a particular job or industry. This ensures that employees are well equipped to perform their roles effectively, experiencing on-the-job learning, learning soft skills whilst gaining a qualification in their chosen career.

Employees who go through apprenticeships with a business often feel a sense of loyalty to the company that invested in their training. This can lead to higher retention rates and a more committed workforce. Apprenticeships are a proactive way to address succession planning, pipelining skilled workers into the business. This helps us ensure a pipeline of qualified individuals who can step into key roles as experienced employees are prompted. Our apprentices are an integral part of the business and positively impact our business understanding our culture, mission and values. Their job roles play an important part in our business in marketing and finance. Their development is important to us, and we support their career and professional development within the company.

I joined TIEVA in 2021 as Talent Acquisition Manager and have worked closely with Mani Bahra, Account Manager at LMP Education. Mani has been a great help, supporting our business and the students with their qualifications. Our finance apprentices have had such a great learning experience, Mani and LMP are our first choice for apprenticeships. Personally, I think it is a no brainer! Apprenticeships are the stepping stone of a career and can generate a great workforce. It is a strategic move for companies to foster talent development which contributes to a recruitment and retention pipeline.’

Thank you to Rachel at TIEVA for supporting National Apprenticeship Week and highlighting the value, benefits and opportunities that apprenticeship bring.
