The LMP Summer Conference took place on 13 and 14 August at Warwick University. The team from across LMP Group, LMP Education, LMP Action and Inspire ATA came together to collaborate, celebrate and share best practice. This year’s conference theme was “The Difference We make” centring around the impact LMP has made on our learners and communities this year.

The conference came after two recent accolades received by LMP Group. In June we were awarded Leaders in Safeguarding Gold accreditation and in July, LMP Education were rated Good by Ofsted. These achievements are a shining example of the hard work, dedication and care everyone at LMP Group demonstrate in their work.

Over 150 team members attended the LMP Summer Conference which included updates from the senior executive board and strategic management team.

The annual LMP awards were presented to staff members who embody LMP core values and go above and beyond. Receiving the award for collaboration were: Cheryl Shepherd, Naomi Chance, Tej Jayawardena and Jonathan Mvita.

The award for communication went to: Anna Sherriff, Claire Halliwell, Nahila Akther and Louise Mitchell-Hall.

Recognised for cohesion were: Vicky Hewiston, Vicky Williams, Trayciegh Hendy and Andy Valko.

And finally, the award for care went to: Sammie Cooper, Shquille Uwakwe, Niamh Reilly and Miranda Mardell.

With safeguarding being at the forefront of the work that LMP do, a strong focus was placed on safeguarding in the conference. The team received a thorough safeguarding update ensuring all staff are fully informed and confident in upholding safeguarding procedures and KCSIE. During the presentation, Safeguarding Champion awards were presented to Claire Halliwell, Vicky Thompson, Yam Kovács, Emma Taylor, Naomi Chance and Emily Nicholson.

Speaking of the conference Head of Safeguarding, Health & Safety and LMP Group Anita de Villiers said “It’s always a pleasure to deliver a safeguarding update to the business, face to face makes it even more special as you get the opportunity to highlight & recognise the collaboration & contributions made. This year we had so much to share, with the safeguarding highlight, retaining our Gold Standard in Leaders in Safeguarding and of course our Good Ofsted outcome. Our culture of concerns continues to grow and develop and I’m proud to lead that.”

The event was also a great opportunity for fundraising for LMP Action’s festive hampers. The LMP Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team held a Bingo night during the conference raising £685 for the hampers helping to support vulnerable families during the winter months.

Natalie Glasby Head of Programmes at LMP Action and CSR Manager said “It was amazing to see the whole of the LMP Group come together to have fun and raise some much-needed funds so that our hampers can go to families in even more areas. Very proud of the work we are doing to make an impact.”

In summarising the conference, LMP Co-Founder and Managing Director Amy Lalla said “The LMP Summer Conference was, as ever, an absolutely fantastic experience and opportunity to reconnect across the Group. This year’s theme, ‘The Difference You Make’, really came to life through powerful case studies, learner testimonials, and inspiring examples of impact across the organisation. Time and again, I looked around the room and saw remarkable people doing extraordinary things. It makes me immensely proud to work alongside such a dedicated group, united by a clear mission and purpose, knowing that every day they change lives for the better.   It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, celebrate our achievements, and share our vision for the final quarter of the year and 2026.  What a team we have!”
