As part of LMP Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative we offer our staff three volunteering days a year to support their local community.
Vicky Williams, Partnership Manager at LMP Education made the most of her volunteering time by visiting Ilchester Community Primary School, Somerset. She has an ongoing relationship with the school as a Parent Governor and has joined the school on a trip to an apple farm in October 2025 where the children explored how food goes from field to table. Here is her story:
“My local primary school do so much to engage with the community, so I wanted to give back by volunteering.
The school is in my community, and my children attend. I work closely with them as a Parent Governor, so it was a great opportunity to see the school’s curriculum come to life.
Volunteers help fill essential roles that keep communities running. It also helps you build skills for life and a network of people that you may not otherwise have opportunity to meet.
If you are thinking of volunteering, start with something you are passionate about. Whether that be supporting people, looking after the environment, or helping animals, choose a cause that genuinely matters to you – that way, your volunteering will feel meaningful, and you’ll be more motivated to make a difference.”
Well done, Vicky!
