That’s where the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme steps in. Run by LMP Action, on behalf of Hammersmith & Fulham Council, the HAF programme provides vital support to families in need by offering enriching activities and nutritious meals during the school holidays.
What is the HAF Programme?
The HAF programme is designed to ensure that children and young people, particularly those eligible for free school meals, have access to engaging activities and healthy meals at no cost. Through a variety of sports, arts, and educational activities, the programme fosters learning, social interaction and overall wellbeing.
LMP Action’s 2024 Impact
Last year, the HAF programme in Hammersmith & Fulham delivered outstanding results:
- Unique Young People Supported: 2,630
- Total Attendance Across Sessions: 25,748
- Nutritious Meals Served: 26,232
- Hours of Delivery: 2,992
These numbers highlight the significance of the programme in ensuring that children stay active, engaged, and well fed during the holidays. From creative workshops to physical activities and team-building experiences, HAF offers something for everyone.
