Earlier this year the Department for Education (DfE) announced the plans to introduce shorter-term apprenticeships. This change will bring down the typical duration from twelve to eight months from September 2025.
This change aims to provide greater flexibility for the apprenticeship path which is especially essential for the teaching sector that often runs training around term time. Additionally, this change is aiming at reducing the non-completion rates of apprenticeships that occur often due to the length of the programme.
LMP Education are committed to supporting our learners and employer partners and so we will be offering shorter term apprenticeship pathways alongside our standard-length programmes to align with the changes presented by the DfE.
As of yet there aren’t complete guidelines for the delivery of these programmes, however, LMP Education continues to work with the DfE and will announce our full shortened programme list once more information is released.
