LMP Action has completed its first six-week Pre-Apprenticeship Programme in Ealing, supporting young people in their last years of school to take their first step toward meaningful work.
The pilot brought together a group of motivated young people who were ready to move forward but needed practical help with confidence, communication, and preparation for work. Over six weeks, they attended sessions that focused on meeting employers, preparing for interviews, and understanding expectations within professional environments.
Apprenticeship providers from a range of industries visited to share insight into available routes and to explain how apprenticeships work in practice. Young people also explored different pathways into employment and received tailored advice on how to identify opportunities that match their interests and strengths.
Feedback from the group has been outstanding. Young people reported feeling more capable when speaking to employers and more confident about taking the next step toward an apprenticeship or training place. Several have already progressed to interviews and shortlisting stages with local providers.
The success of this first programme shows how early intervention and focused preparation can transform readiness for work. By combining practical learning with personalised guidance, LMP Action has created a model that strengthens local opportunities and supports young people as they begin their employment journey.
We will now expand the programme to reach more young people across other boroughs, building partnerships with local employers and apprenticeship providers to sustain progression beyond the classroom.
Schools, families, and community partners who would like to join or refer into the next cohort can contact Info@lmp-action.co.uk for details.
LMP Action is proud of the achievements of the young people in Ealing who completed this first programme and looks forward to supporting many more through the Pre-Apprenticeship pathway.
