LMP Group is dedicated to protecting the environment, leading to the creation of our ‘trees’ initiative. We work to plant trees in the UK and abroad to help reforest depleted areas. We plant a tree for every new employee and for every apprentice that completes a programme with us.

Since 2023, LMP has been working with Treeapp to plant trees around the globe, supporting local communities and reducing carbon emissions.

So far, 1346 trees have been planted in 13 countries that are set to absorb over 145 tonnes of CO2 in their lifetimes. Through the planting 8,978 squared meters of land had been reforested, restoring biodiversity to the regions and fighting climate change.

Additionally, we work to support out local communities providing trees to schools and helping them promote nature and ecosystem diversity within their educational settings.

In February Suzie Alexandra and Mark Pearce from the LMP Education sales team visited Branston Locks Primary & Nursery School, part of the John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JTMAT), to deliver and plant a set of trees with their Nursery children.

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the school, meet the team, and watch the children’s excitement as they decided where each tree should grow. By involving pupils in choosing where the trees will be planted, the experience becomes meaningful, empowering, and memorable.

Suzie Alexandra, Partnerships Manager at LMP Education said about her visit: “The children were completely absorbed in their environment exploring, asking questions, and taking real ownership of their learning. It’s the kind of setting where play is purposeful, independence is encouraged, and every little moment feels meaningful. One of the day’s highlights was handing over the trees for the children to plant. Their excitement at choosing exactly where each tree should go said everything about how invested they are in their outdoor space.”

Mark Pearce, Senior Partnerships Manager at LMP Education added: “It was fantastic to visit the school and see the pupils getting involved in planting the trees themselves. Activities like this not only help create greener school environments but also give children a real sense of ownership and pride in their surroundings. It was a great day and a brilliant example of how small actions can have a lasting impact.”

JTMAT schools place strong emphasis on character development, community, and creating environments where children can thrive. Planting trees directly supports this vision by:

  • Encouraging stewardship – Children learn to take responsibility for nature and understand how their actions contribute to a healthier environment.
  • Enhancing outdoor learning spaces – Trees create natural spaces that promote curiosity, wellbeing, and opportunities for hands‑on learning.
  • Building community identity – Each tree becomes a symbol of the school’s growth, aspirations, and shared values.

Every tree planted represents both environmental impact and the partnerships we value with schools like those in JTMAT.

Together, we’re not just planting trees we’re planting opportunities, aspirations, and a greener future for all.
