Apprenticeships are a great way for individual to study for a qualification as they work in their chosen sector, gaining experience. This type of studying is great for those who learn best by doing as it allows learners to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. An LMP Learner that benefitted from this type of learning is Zoe, a Level 3 Business Operations Administrator from BRE Group. Here is her story:
“I chose this programme as I had previously worked in different roles, and I enjoyed my administration one the best. I thought that this would be the best way to progress in my career.
I had been to college twice and left as I didn’t enjoy it but had always worked in between education which I enjoyed. I am very much a practical learner, so an apprenticeship felt like the best way for me to gain my qualification.
Doing an apprenticeship means that I get to learn whilst also gaining work experience which as a practical learner is very useful.
I am very proud that I have completed all my work before my deadlines, so I am ahead whilst also giving my all to working and gaining experience.
The best thing about my role is that every day is so different, so I never get bored and always feel motivated to work.
My employer has been so supportive by always offering me information that could help with my coursework. My LMP tutor has also been very helpful by allowing me to contact her whenever I need any assistance and always provides me with examples, so I know exactly what to do.
I have developed my time management skills by ensuring I meet deadlines for my coursework along with always being available to help at work. This is important because it means I am progressing well at work and in my apprenticeship.
I hope to continue working at BRE and gain experience so that eventually I can step into a more senior role.”
