Sam Nicholson is 25 and is a Level 3 Business Admin Apprentice at Oasis Academy Immingham. Sam took this apprenticeship opportunity as it fits perfectly with his motivation to progress his career in an incredibly rewarding educational setting.
Here is Sam’s apprenticeship experience so far:
“An apprenticeship helps you gain the necessary skills for your desired job role and with the modules carefully planned they come at the right time for you to progress in your job role. With the wide range of apprenticeships, it helps you decide what career path to take and work towards, also with the career progression you are shown the stepping stones of what that apprenticeship can lead to.
The best thing about my role has to be seeing the positive impact you can have on the students and helping them build the best future possible.
I have had constant communication with my LMP tutor who was always happy to help. Also my work colleagues have been there for me when I have needed them for help with work or providing me a basis to run and collect data from my own projects.
The best skill I have taken away from this apprenticeship is teamwork and professionalism as this has helped create strong bonds with my colleagues and also showed me how I can set a good example for others in my place of work.
My next step is moving on to another apprenticeship with LMP. I will be moving on to the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship as this will help me gain more knowledge in the career path I would like to follow!”
