LMP Education is a leading training provider for the education sector. We offer a range of apprenticeships for schools and MATs including our most popular Level 3 Teaching Assistant programme. A Learner that has made the most of this programme is Natalia Chambers who has completed her programme with LMP working at Honley High School. Here is her story:

“I am very passionate about my job and enjoy working alongside staff and students in the school setting. Supporting children through school and seeing them achieve their goals and targets is amazing and brings me great happiness to be able to help and support them students when they need it.

I decided to go on the apprenticeship path as I wanted to enrol in a course that would help me develop and that would fit alongside my role.

The main benefit of an apprenticeship programme is that it helps me build the skills that are relevant to the career I am interested in and practise them in an environment that I feel comfortable in.

I am proud of all the milestones, assignments, portfolio and extra courses that I completed during my apprenticeship. Overall, I am proud of all the work I put into the apprenticeship to receive a distinction overall.

The best thing about my job is supporting SEND students throughout school, building their confidence and seeing them achieve their goals. The course has helped me develop new skills and strategies to help support students in school has a great impact on their school life. This could be new learning strategies or communication strategies to help students engage more with in lessons. When you build that report with students it increases their enthusiasm to engage, learn and get involved in the work set.

I received great support from my LMP tutor Julie Phillips. She always reassured me when I became overwhelmed and pointed me in the right direction if I struggled. She was a very positive tutor to work with, and she made me feel comfortable during my professional discussions with positive feedback and I could have asked for anyone better to support me during my apprenticeship.

I found that colleague feedback is very important in my job role as constructive feedback gives you the chance to build new skills and learn new strategies to support you in lessons and support the students as well as building relationships with the people you work with.

Now that I have completed my programme, I have options to make a move in my career one day and go on to work within a primary school setting.”

We wish you the best of luck in the future, Natalia!
