New Apprenticeship Update for Early Years Educator – version1.3
From the 1st April this programme has seen some important changes including
-Funding value has increased to £7,000
-Merging of standard and diploma (no separate diploma to be completed)
-EPA requires direct observation (no knowledge test)
-Paediatric 1st aid still included
-Level 2 functional skills to be achieved (English & maths)
Apprentices will interact with children, parents, carers, colleagues, and wider multi-agency professionals such as health visitors, early help services, social workers, and speech and language therapists. This includes supporting children with SEND.
