LMP Group supports its staff in volunteering as part of our commitment to Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) and British Values. One of our tutors at LMP Education volunteers regularly at Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Here is their story:
“I chose to volunteer at Clatterbridge as I have links to this cause, and it is very dear to me. I believe it is important to support others. If I have enough spare capacity in my busy life to make the world a slightly better place, even if a tiny way, then that is worth it.
Time is one of the most precious things people have. Using it to help others, who are unable to help themselves, is good way to spend it. Bring the kids along to help!
There are many challenges that prevent people from volunteering, location and opportunities is one of the biggest ones. It can be really hard to pick a cause that means enough to you.
I recommend starting by searching what is available near you. Just get on your favourite search engine, type “Volunteering positions in<location>” and see what’s out there.”
