It is National Apprenticeship Week, and we are shining a spotlight on the dedication, growth and development of our apprentices.
Oliver Greensmith is 24 years old, and he has recently achieved a level 3 Finance Apprenticeship through LMP Education.
Oliver was playing professional rugby in 2022 when he decided to embark on a new career path in finance and accounting. He joined TIEVA as a Finance Assistant Apprentice after seeing the role advertised and decided to apply. This gave him the flexibility to learn and earn and continue with his rugby in his spare time.
Oliver accepted the position in the finance department at TIEVA, an award-winning and fast-growing technology business, as there is a good team spirit and values that align with his.
During his level 3 Finance Assistant apprenticeship, Oliver was supported by his employer and also his LMP tutor Fanija. Oliver added ‘Fanija is amazing, and she guided me through the apprenticeship and provided great support. I have also been promoted to Finance Officer and enjoy my role at TIEVA. There are lots of opportunities to learn and develop and I am keen to progress.’
He is now looking to progress onto the level 4 Professional Accounting AAT programme very soon and has big dreams of moving into management in the future.
