Louise Allan is a Talent and Resourcing Advisor at The White Horse Federation, which is a network of primary, secondary and special schools in Swindon, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Louise shares her learner journey with LMP Education here;
”I am currently doing my Level 3 HR Practice with LMP Education, whilst working full time. Since embarking on my apprenticeship, I have gained skills and knowledge that are relevant and pertinent to my current workplace, and I am able to implement these and show the impact of my learning through my current work.
However, the most important behaviour I have gained through the apprenticeship is confidence! I have the confidence to be able to speak up and challenge situations, as well as being confident in my choices and myself as a HR professional. This has even led me to be successful for an internal promotion at work.
My LMP tutor (Margaret) has been a beacon of support throughout the process, she has been consistent and clear, making sure that we all achieve the very best that we can. It is refreshing to have a tutor who is also an industry expert, as her past experiences give us invaluable information that we can use for assignments and personal development. She has become more of a mentor than a tutor. She is available to offer advice and support at any time that she can and is always looking to challenge us to become better all-rounded HR professionals.
Overall, my experience thus far has been positive and empowering. I am always looking forward to the next module or assignment and once the course is completed, I can’t wait to start my Level 5! I would recommend apprenticeships for anyone wanting to learn and develop as a professional, gaining a recognised qualification that can really open many doors in the future!”
