Happy National Apprenticeship Week! This week LMP Education is spotlighting success by sharing stories of our learners from across all programmes. Today we have Luke, a 38-year-old Team Leader apprentice from Atlas Hotels. He his currently on the Level 3 Team Leader programme and here is his story:
“I chose this apprenticeship to gain knowledge on all aspects of the business and to enhance my CV and leadership skills.
The main benefits of doing an apprenticeship are the flexibility of the programme, the helpfulness of the tutors, and the on-the-job learning.
The best thing about my role at Atlas Hotels is the scope of it. One day I could be at the front in the reception, on another day I could be the cook for the night. I also love guest satisfaction and seeing people happy.
Both of my LMP tutors Lorrain and Adam have been so very supporting and very flexible with my learning journey.
The most important skill I have learned is to embrace how we are all different and all have different levels or ways of learning.
When I finish my apprenticeship programme, I hope to progress my career further in the industry and become a hotel manager.”
