The Teaching Assistant Sports Pathway uses the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard along with an embedded coaching qualification to enable those in a Sports TA role to achieve a relevant qualification whilst working in this position. During this teaching assistant apprenticeship you will promote self-belief, social inclusion and high self-esteem which will play an integral part to pupils’ wellbeing.
You will become an essential part in the learning environment for the classroom teacher and pupils. Working to ensure pupils thrive in a positive, nurturing and safe environment. TAs play a crucial role in supporting teachers and pupils. Your work can have a significant impact on the children's learning experiences, helping them to succeed academically and personally.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to the Higher level teaching assistant or a Teaching/Sport Degree
Curriculum leader, Head of Department, Deputy Head, Sports Assistant, Support Teacher
Observation with questions, where an independent assessor observes the apprentice in their workplace; Professional Discussion underpinned by portfolio, a formal two way conversation with an independent assessor
