LMP Education is committed to providing TA training that accurately meets the needs of the education sector. This September we are excited to announce that we have updated our popular Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND Pathway giving learners the opportunity to deepen their expertise in special educational needs and disabilities.

This change aims to respond to industry needs for in depth SEND qualifications to support the growing number of pupils with SEND and additional needs.

The programme will now include an additional Level 2 qualification accredited by NCFE. Apprentices complete the programme with core TA expertise, enhanced SEND awareness, and a formal qualification that supports progression into SEN-specific roles, further study, or internal career advancement

What’s new?

At the end of the programme (at Gateway), learners can choose from one of three specialist Level 2 qualifications in SEND, tailored to different areas of interest and need. These courses are:

  • Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health
  • Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Understanding Autism

These courses are delivered fully online with support and assessment provided by LMP Education tutors. The rich curriculum is designed to complement the hands-on learning apprentices will engage in in their settings and help build specialist knowledge.
