The Adult Skills Fund (ASF) has replaced the Adult Education Budget (AEB). The purpose of ASF is to support adult learners (19+) in non-devolved areas to gain skills which will lead them to meaningful, sustained, and relevant employment, or enable them to progress to further learning which will deliver that outcome.
Eligibility criteria for the free short courses include being aged 19 or older as of August 31, 2024, not already holding the qualification being delivered, and not already owning a higher qualification in the same subject.
