The early years sector faces a severe recruitment and retention crisis. Providers struggle with low pay, poor career progression, and high turnover rates, making it difficult to meet expanded government childcare entitlements. Additionally, shrinking budgets in Early Years settings make recruiting for staff a costly and time-consuming job. LMP Education provides funded support services for the Early Years sector to help settings recruit and retain their staff.

LMP Education’s funded recruitment service

LMP Education can help your Early Years setting recruit an apprentice or develop an existing member of staff through apprenticeships or funded training programmes. Our specialist apprenticeship recruitment team can interview and recruit an apprentice on your behalf. Let us search with our free recruitment service, and we will find the best candidate for your organisation. This service is fully funded and with no finders fee!

How does LMP’s recruitment service work?

LMP Education supports your setting through each stage of the recruitment process. Our service is made up of 5 stages:

  • Advertising: the role is advertised by LMP Education on DAS & Indeed & numerous social media platforms.
  • Screening: a designated LMP recruiter will sift and screen suitable applicants, making sure they are eligible and suitable for the job role/fit the criteria you provide.
  • Shortlisting: CV, certificates and any other documents such as employer application forms are then sent over to the employer to consider for interview.
  • Interviewing: interviews are then arranged on the employer’s behalf. We can fit this around your calendar and timetable.
  • Hiring: the candidate is made successful and start date is confirmed, or further recruitment takes place to fill the vacancy.

We fill your vacancies through recruiting an apprentice on your behalf. Using the power of apprenticeships your new staff member receives funded training and mentoring – you simply pay their salary/wage and develop your own workforce to meet your setting’s needs. Download our NEW recruitment guide!

LMP Education’s Early Years Apprenticeships

LMP Education offers three levels of training for Early Years professionals helping learners develop within the field.

Early Years Practitioner Level 2

Early Years Practitioners (EYP) interact daily with parents, children, and a variety of professionals such as health visitors and social workers. EYP apprentices, participate in observation, assessment, and care duties while collaborating with parents and professionals playing A crucial role in identifying potential hazards to ensure the safety of children.

Early Years Educator Level 3

Early Years Educators, and other job roles such as nursery nurse and childminders, are highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

They work in a range of settings including full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes and as childminders. They may either be working on their own or supervising others to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by Government for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.

Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 5

A Level 5 apprentice will gain the skills to lead best practice, mentor staff, and implement the EYFS framework effectively. Investing in staff development can directly improve the quality of education and care you provide, which can have a positive impact on Ofsted ratings and your setting’s reputation.

Investing in a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship can bring significant benefits to both your staff and your business. This apprenticeship helps develop future leaders within your setting, improving the quality of care, staff retention and overall business performance.
